History

The history of a city hotel
Hotel Brasserie Keyser was opened in 1992. This was the second hotel of Joop and Els Sweere. Before they were owners of Hotel Van Ham, a small hotel with 16 rooms, since 1984. Hotel Brasserie Keyser was a more luxurious hotel with 20 rooms, a large restaurant and a bar.

Expansion
After years of thinking about expanding, it eventually was reality in oktober 2000! Tulip Inn Keyser Breda was opened by the Commissionary of the Queen, Mr. Nijpels. With a total of 79 rooms, 5 conference rooms, a restaurant and a bar, a dream came true.

Tulip Inn of the year
Two years after the opening all the hard work was rewarded with the title of 'Tulip Inn of the Year 2003' Benelux.

Fourth star!
And if that where not enough, the three star hotel was rewarded in 2003 with a fourth star! Since 1 January 2004 the name is changed to Golden Tulip Keyser Breda.

Another expansion - The Keyserin
But Joop and Els Sweere are very busy... In February 2006 we are using our new rooms. In the beautiful Art Deco building on Keizerstraat 3 there are 10 Business Class rooms, 4 Luxury Suites and 2 Senior Suites. Also here are 4 more conference rooms.

Renovation
The current 20 rooms which Golden Tulip Keyser Breda started with are renovated and eventually they are turned into 12 Business Class rooms. In total Golden Tulip Keyser Breda has:
87 rooms, of which 3 Junior Suites, 10 Luxury Suites en 74 Business Class rooms, 10 conference rooms, a restaurant and a bar.

Hotel of the Year 2010 Northern Europe

During the world conference of Golden Tulip Worldwide in Casablanca (Morocco ) on 14 Oktober 2010 Golden Tulip Keyser Breda is awarded:

HOTEL OF THE YEAR 2010 NORTHERN EUROPE !!

With this award Golden Tulip Keyser Breda has proven to be on the top as a hotel.
